Manga Fever

Manga (kanji: 漫画; hiragana: まんが; katakana: マンガ; About this sound listen (help·info); English /ˈmɑːŋɡə//ˈmæŋɡə/) consist of comics and print cartoons (sometimes also called komikku コミック), in the Japanese language and conforming to the style developed in Japan in the late 19th century.[1] In their modern form, manga date from shortly after World War II,[2] but they have a long, complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art.[3] or

In Japan, people of all ages read manga. The medium includes a broad range of subjects: action-adventure, romance, sports and games, historical drama, comedy, science fiction and fantasy, mystery, horror, sexuality, and business/commerce, among others.[4] Since the 1950s, manga have steadily become a major part of the Japanese publishing industry,[5] representing a 406 billion yen market in Japan in 2007 (approximately $3.6 billion). Manga have also become increasingly[vague] popular worldwide.[6] In 2008, the U.S. and Canadian manga market was $175 million. Manga are typically printed in black-and-white,[7] although some full-color manga exist (e.g. Colorful). In Japan, manga are usually serialized in telephone book-size[vague] manga magazines, often containing many stories, each presented in a single episode to be continued in the next issue. If the series is successful, collected chapters may be republished in paperback books called tankōbon.[8] A manga artist (mangaka in Japanese) typically works with a few assistants in a small studio and is associated with a creative editor from a commercial publishing company.[2] If a manga series is popular enough, it may be animated after or even during its run,[9] although sometimes manga are drawn centering on previously existing live-action or animated films[10] (e.g. Star Wars).

"Manga" as a term used outside Japan refers specifically to comics originally published in Japan.[11] However, manga-influenced comics, among original works, exist in other parts of the world, particularly in Taiwan ("manhua"), South Korea ("manhwa"),[12] and the People's Republic of China, notably Hong Kong ("manhua").[13] In France, "la nouvelle manga" has developed as a form of bande dessinée (literally drawn strip) drawn in styles influenced by Japanese manga. In the United States, people refer to what they perceive as manga "styled" comics as Amerimanga, world manga, or original English-language manga (OEL manga). Still, the original term "manga" is primarily used in English-speaking countries solely to describe comics of Japanese origin.

A must watch movie

This is the official trailer of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7). This is the last movie sequel of the most anticipated movie of the year, HP7. It was being cut into 2 parts and I hope it can justify the story. Although it was a sad true that this is the last movie I can't help it, I am too excited to watch this movie since I've already read all the books. I'll never miss any of this. So? Let's watch watch watch !!! :)

I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY

A Rocket to the Moon

Oh girls these nights are dull
I wish that i could spend them with you
I'm looking at this wall
Repeating "girl i love you"
Just take your pick
They're all the same
These things that you are telling me
can't really show me how you feel
I'm breaking down
I'm falling down
But now I'm breathing
And now I am scared to move
Don't listen to a word I tell you
Just take me by my hand
And I swear I'll make this up to you

So now you want me to fix everything
But baby theres so much and so little time to
Replace the things I've broken
Ripped apart, and thrown away
You can say that you dont miss me
I think about you everyday

Oh come on girl
There's so much to say
So instead of kidding everybody
How bout you try your tricks on me
on me.

So now you want me to fix everything
But baby theres so much and so little time to
Replace the things I've broken
Ripped apart, and thrown away
You can say that you dont miss me
I think about you everyday

Oh...
Oh,
Do you know
How this feels to see your face when I close my eyes
Bet you know
How it feels to be the only thing that matters now

So now you want me to fix everything
But baby theres so much and so little time to
Replace the things I've broken
Ripped apart, and thrown away
You can say that you dont miss me
I think about you everyday
So now you want me to fix everything
But baby theres so much and so little time to
Replace the things I've broken
Ripped apart, and thrown away
You can say that you dont miss me
I think about you everyday

This is my latest favorite song and I hope you all share the same interest with ME^^

Coffee Addict

When this Korean Drama first aired in GMA7, I did not even try to watch this but as it aired again in Animax I realized that it was interesting. The story is very cute and funny, it made me smile every time I remember those episodes.

This drama is about a love story between a tomboyish woman pretending to be a man and a young food empire mogul. This contains pseudo homosexual elements because the man does not initially know about the tomboyish woman's true sex. This is starred by one of my favorite actresses in Korea Yoon Eun Hye, who was also the one played as Janelle in Princess Hours.

The first shop of Coffee Prince is currently airing in Animax every Friday at 8 o'clock in the evening(not so sure about the day). You should watch this because its a really cute story and you'll love it just like an anti-COFFEE person became a COFFEE ADDICT like me :)

Cramming-MUGGING!!!

Our preliminary examination is so near so we should start studying now!

Here are some tips about cramming techniques that I accidentally read while surfing the net. It is said that cramming for exams should be avoided at all cost and we should only cram for an exam as a last resort. But I know that we cannot easily forget about cramming. So, here are some tips that I got from the internet and I know this will help a lot.

Eat some food to give you energy to study but avoid consuming excess sugar which will make you hyper and will make it more difficult to study.

An apple does a better job at keeping you focused and awake than caffeine.

Find a well lit place with no distractions around to study but don't get too comfortable or you may fall a sleep.

Keep a positive attitude, it is easier to study when you are relaxed than when you are stressed out.

Since your time is limited you have to choose what you study. Don't attempt to learn everything, focus on things that will get you the most points on the exam.

Focus on the main ideas and learn key formulas. Skip the details for now and only come back to them if you see that you have time after you have learned the key points.

Write down the key ideas/formulas on a sheet of paper and keep on studying from that sheet, repetition is important.

Highlight the important points in your notes, and text and focus on that.

Read the chapter summaries (they usually do a good job at summarizing the important points). If there're no chapter summaries then skim through the text and write down key ideas.

Study from past tests, review questions, homework & review sheets.

Take at least one five minute break an hour so that you can gather your thoughts and let your brain relax.

If time permits, try to get at least 3 hours of sleep (one sleep cycle) before the exam so that you don't fall asleep when taking your exam. Don't forget to set your alarm!

"Tear-jerker"

As far as I remember, this is actually the first song that ever made me cry until now. I just want it to share with you because it's really a nice song.

You Raise Me Up is a popular song in the inspirational mould. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Lovland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. They said that the song was originally written as an instrumental piece and titled "Silent Story". The melody is based on a traditional Irish tune, the Londonderry Air, which is best known as the usual tune to th 1910 song Danny Boy.

Today, it is play ina different language and a theme song of one of my favorite animes in animax: "RomeoxJuliet". The title of the song is Inori, which is played by Ms. Lena Park.

Something to Remember

This should be posted last Monday, but since I got tired due to what happened below I decided to post it just today.

**********

Monday 6/28/10
"Something to Remember"

--> Oh no! This is not about a good experience, but I do hope you'll realize something that I'd thought will make everyone happy and contented.

While we're having our discussion in Nursing Informatics, it started to rain. The rain was very heavy, so our professor dismissed us a little early. On our way home, we got stuck on a traffic and it took us an hour just to get to Junction (but basically, this will only take less than 30 minutes if there's no traffic). But there comes another problem...We can't cross because there's a flood in Taytay and they said it was getting higher. My first reaction was reassuring. I just said "Weh? di nga?" . So that's why we can't cross and the jeep changed our route. We went to Cainta and take another route to Valleygolf. But still there's traffic because of the flood. It took us another one hour just to get to Valleygolf. Imagine, we are travelling for more than 2 hours and we're undeniably hungry!!!

On our battle against the traffic caused by the flood (also against our hunger), I noticed that there are many places in Rizal that sinked every time it rained. They sinked even there's only rain and no typhoon. This made me realized that I'm lucky because I live in a higher place...pitied them because they weren't that lucky. Because every time it rains there's also them who falls in the midst of danger...danger because of the fast increasing water level or because of the floods every time it rained.

I love anime

KAICHOU WA MAID-SAMA

This is one of my most favorite anime so far. This is a romantic comedy that centers on the student council head named Misaki Ayuzawa who despises the mostly male, slovenly population at her school, which was once an all-boys school. However, Misaki's most handsome schoolmate just discovered her secret — that she works afterschool at a maid café.

I first saw this anime in animax while I was watching Inuyasha: The final act and it stuck already in my head. I promised to watch this regularly, unfortunately I was not able to do it because of school but I still try to catch up in youtube. The anime is already airing in animax. Sundays at 8:30 PM after Coffee Prince.

I hope you'll watch this. It's really something that can make our silly hearts beat for these beautiful characters.
